This Haunted attraction may feature more scenes than anywhere else in the Carolina’s the owner told us on a visit years ago that there were over 40 scenes and while we lost count somewhere in the 20 when we got our wits scared out of us there was indeed at least 40 separate scenes. The haunted trail at Darkside Haunted Estates takes about 35-40 minutes to survive and for the most part features decent costumes with tried and true scare tactics that work almost flawlessly. While the trail it’s self is the largest attraction. To us the best attractions at Darkside are the Haunted houses you get to experience after the trail. This include the Slaughter house, the insane asylum and our favorite the Bundy Hotel which is well themed from the entrance to the exit with characters that play the roll of hosts very well although I dont think you will want to stay long enough to make yourself comfortable. We love attractions that can take you out of the moment to someplace else the Bundy is that type of attraction. a lively DJ and stage show keeps patrons entertained as they wait and We cannot recommend the Hellavator attraction at Darkside Haunted Estates Enough. We do not promote many side attractions as not everyone will experience them, but there is an exception to almost everything and the Darkside Hellavator is definitely one of those cases. It is the most advanced attraction of its kind and once you try it you will agree there is no room for improvement ! The highlight of Hollerin Haunts is their signature Hayride. The hayride alone makes it worth our 4 hour ride to get here each year. Once you are loaded onto the traliers you will pass by and even inside some of the most detailed hayride sets in the Carolinas. In many of the scenes there is character interaction on a level you would expect to find in a haunted house not on a hayride, hell I was even deemed a mayor once! Laughs screams and scares make this in our opinion the best haunted hayride in North Carolina and with the newly incorporated Haunted Trail at the end of the Hayride Hollerin Haunts Hayride has be in the consideration of Top Haunted Hayrides across the Carolina’s Each season Hollerin Haunts has continued to grow and after each visit we always say this haunt is going places, with a fwe of the addtitons we have seen coming for 2024 I think we will have to start saying they are already there! If this haunt is not on your short list of visits this haunt season you may want to grab a pen and write it in! This will be a big year at Hollerin Haunts so we suggest if you are traveling to go early in the season to avoid some of the crowd! This is a charity haunt that benefits the Stoney Point Fire Department and has been running for over 20 years due in large part to the large number of Volunteers that call this North Carolina Haunted Attraction home. Don’t let the term Charity haunt fool you. This isnt a thrown together backyard haunt. They will succeed in what they crave the most, scaring you! Representatives from this haunt visit the best trade shows to learn and in turn bring you their best in Fear. This crew holds themselves to a high standard with each giving no less than 100% to make sure you get what you came for. An evening full of scares and screams.
